and then I read this: “A Cinderella Story? How The Koch Brothers Use Florida Gulf Coast University To Promote Their Agenda”.

That really takes the fun out of cheering for them. Now all I have left is cheering against Duke.

But GCU is not just their Biz Department and there are others with unsavory ties like Stanford and Harvard.

Stanford! And never cared about Harvard in this, except for quickly growing weary over the endless hype post-New Mexico victory.

I’m rooting against Ohio because they are the evil rivals of Michigan State and Michigan.

I balance that against Arizona being the flagship of Jan Brewer’s racist policies.

I’ll note Armando was for GCU until they went up against his ‘Gators.

All are welcome and I don’t care if you root for or against based on uniform colors.

the thing about sports is you can’t argue with the scores, but it’s essentially meaningless and ephemeral.

You can use sports to illustrate points as I try to do with Formula One and the Packers, but I think soccer wars and blue green riots are distractions for the masses.

It’s all about the class war, but then I root for the Mets too.

Santana out for the season and perhaps forever.

Carrying a bag of gold given to him by Justinian, the slightly built eunuch entered the Hippodrome alone and unarmed, against a murderous mob that had already killed hundreds. Narses went directly to the Blues’ section, where he approached the important Blues and reminded them that Emperor Justinian supported them over the Greens. He also reminded them that the man they were crowning, Hypatius, was a Green. Then, he distributed the gold. The Blue leaders spoke quietly with each other and then they spoke to their followers. Then, in the middle of Hypatius’s coronation, the Blues stormed out of the Hippodrome. The Greens sat, stunned. Then, Imperial troops led by Belisarius and Mundus stormed into the Hippodrome, killing the remaining rebels.
