Update 1700 ET: As expected Trump has withdrawn the US from the Paris Climate Agreement citing a litany of lies about the agreement and climate change. The US is the world’s second largest largest greenhouse gas emissions.
This afternoon Donald will announce his decision whether to stay in the Paris Climate Accord. Withdrawal from the pact would be disastrous for our climate but we are currently governed by a man who is not only ignorant and uninformed but determined to dismantle the Obama administration legacy.
A few months back, John Oliver, host of HBO’s “Last Week Tonight,” hosted a climate debate, with an assist from Bill Nye the Science Guy, specifically aimed at those with a short attention span. As an article from The National Memo, that was posted at Raw Story, noted it’s a video that even Trump should watch, “if only to understand how stupid he sounds when he insists that the threat of climate change is a hoax.”
No matter what Trump decides, the video is well worth watching to understand why there should be no debate about climate change.
