Alice’s Restaurant Thanksgiving

This one was really fun to put together with clips from the movie & Arlo performing “Alice” in the same Church 40 years later.

  2. I would have forgotten.

    It has been a tradition to tune into WNEW-FM at one o’clock and after the death of the place where rock to tune into Q104.3, a tradition that goes back as far as I can recall.

    But for the first year, I just forgot.  

  3. Here’s a good link and some trivia about this line;

    They got a building down New York City, it’s called Whitehall Street,

    where you walk in, you get injected, inspected, detected, infected,

    neglected and selected.

    That building was renovated but is still there, it’s that curvy glass building at the water end of Whitehall, the one that sticks out at you from the ferry terminal. The induction center was converted to a New York Health & Racquet Club.

  5. of Alice’s Restaurant today at noon.  This is the version where he adds the bit about going to Carter’s inauguration, and learning that they found a copy of Alice’s Restaurant among Nixon’s things, and where he speculates that the missing 18.5 minutes on the Watergate tapes must be his song.

    I can’t find this version on YouTube, otherwise I’d post it.
