I can’t get the video the WaPo is referencing to post, you can find it here.
In heartbreaking video, Sandy Hook teachers recall 2012 massacre: ‘I’ll never be the same’

One woman thought she was hearing fireworks. Another recognized the noises she heard as gunshots, but didn’t understand exactly what that meant.
“I was thinking, even though I heard gunshots, like, it never translated to many, many people are going to die — because you’re just, you’re in Sandy Hook Elementary School and library class just began,” Mary Ann Jacob says in a short video featuring a group of teachers and librarians from the Newtown, Conn., school.
Monday marked the third anniversary of the massacre at Sandy Hook, where 26 children and educators were killed.
The names of Sandy Hook survivors weren’t included in the video, but the educators — some of whom broke down in tears as they recounted what happened that day — were identified by the Hartford Courant.
I drove past that place, twice a day, every day, for years.
