NCAA Women’s Tournament 2016: Regional Finals (Round of 8) Day 1

Welcome to Upset Day! That’s right, every single team in this side of the Regional Finals bracket had to upset a higher seeded team to get here. The Regional Champions go on to represent their Regions in the National Semi-Finals (Round of 4) on Sunday April 3rd.

Do I have my favorites? Sure, Syracuse because I went there (and I hate Tennessee), and Washington, in part because I think a Husky v. Husky Final would be an amusing broadcast to listen to the announcers struggle with, but also because Stanford has a history of being UConn streak enders and I think they’re the most dangerous team left on this side of the bracket. There will be no designated underdog, they are all underdogs.
