Trevor’s last guest this Week is Howard Dean. Unfortunately Howard is not the politician many thought he was. He’s pretty right wing for Vermont has shown it by lobbying for some very questionable organizations and endorsing some highly suspect people.

I urge you not to be deceived by his superficial charm. Bill Clinton and Barack Obama are charming too and look what that’s gotten us- Identity Politics that distracts from real political change (except in the negative Neoliberal sense of more for the elites and scraps for the peons).

Stephen’s guests tonight are-

Hamilton strikes. Any odds we’ll be talking about the new $20? Burr, Leslie Odom’s character is generally remembered as an asshole for killing Hamilton in a duel though some scholarship suggests he wasn’t as bad as all that.

What is beyond contention is that he was a “natural born” U.S. citizen and thus eligible for the Presidency or Vice Presidency (he was Vice President by the way) as contrasted with Hamilton who, due to his birth outside the U.S. to non-citizens, wasn’t.

Something to think about before you cast that vote for Ted Cruz, Alberta Canada’s favorite son (John “Wet Start” McCain, for all his flaws, was born to two U.S. citizens in the Canal Zone which was at the time U.S. Territory).
