If you care about such things (and there’s no reason you should really) there is a lot of hype about whether Hamilton can overtake Rosberg for the Driver’s Championship, but the answer is- not really.
With 3 races left (today, Interlagos, and Yas Marina) and 26 points between them, Hamilton is not in a position to win based on his own actions. His fate is not in his hands.
This is because the margin between a 1st and a 2nd is 7 points and if Hamilton wins all of them and Rosberg finishes 2nd, Rosberg still wins the Championship by 5 points. It’s not even actually close.
So if you’re rooting for Hamilton you have to wish for a finish lower than 2nd for Rosberg and while that’s not beyond the realm of possiblity it’s something you can’t count on.
Me, I’m not a Hamilton fan. There are certain Drivers I actively dislike, Vettel probably at the top of the list and Rosberg on it. There are others I think are dangerous, Grosjean and Verstappen for example. Others are lower grade assholes of the sort you frequently find in competitive sports and 2 that are tolerable in the sense that you wouldn’t actively find someplace else to be at a party are Massa and Button and they’re both retiring.
The one I have some active admiration for is Alonso and I’m sad to say I didn’t appreciate his brilliance while he was at Ferrari. The man can make a brick seem racy and that unfortunately looks like his destiny. Having him behind the wheel of a Mercedes would make Formula One positively boring (I mean, more boring than it already is). Instead he’s trying to make the Honda program credible (with some success) even though it pretty much sucks.
Oh well. At least we’re seeing the backside of Bernie Ecclestone, I’d hazard the new ownership couldn’t do worse but reality has the tendency to disappoint my lowest expectations.

At this point really the only possibility for change is Vettel passing Verstappen (1.2 Seconds) or Riakkonen passing Hulkenberg (.8 seconds).
Barring mechanical failure or accident of course.

And just then Hulkenberg spins and Verstappen goes off.
