Liar, Liar

Just a reminder, here at The Stars Hollow Gazette and Docudharma– your ‘Fake News’ Headquarters, we publish only the most scurrilous rumors and are not bound by good taste, election law, or fanciful notions of “objectivity in journalism”.

Stockton-

There are a lot of ways to practice the art of journalism, and one of them is to use your art like a hammer to destroy the right people — who are almost always your enemies, for one reason or another, and who usually deserve to be crippled, because they are wrong. This is a dangerous notion, and very few professional journalists will endorse it — calling it “vengeful” and “primitive” and “perverse” regardless of how often they might do the same thing themselves. “That kind of stuff is opinion,” they say, “and the reader is cheated if it’s not labelled as opinion.” Well, maybe so. Maybe Tom Paine cheated his readers and Mark Twain was a devious fraud with no morals at all who used journalism for his own foul ends. And maybe H. L. Mencken should have been locked up for trying to pass off his opinions on gullible readers as normal “objective journalism.” Mencken understood that politics — as used in journalism — was the art of controlling his environment, and he made no apologies for it. In my case, using what politely might be called “advocacy journalism,” I’ve used reporting as a weapon to affect political situations that bear down on my environment.

Journalism is not a profession or a trade. It is a cheap catch-all for fuckoffs and misfits- a false doorway to the backside of life, a filthy piss-ridden little hole nailed off by the building inspector, but just deep enough for a wino to curl up from the sidewalk and masturbate like a chimp in a zoo-cage.

It is a proven fact, by the London School of Economics among others, the Establishment British Media is extremely biased against Jeremy Corbyn.

‘Liar Liar Ge2017’ will not be played by BBC Radio 1 despite entering singles chart top 10

A song labelling Prime Minister Theresa May a “liar” is set to enter the Official Singles Chart top 10 this week, but BBC Radio 1 will not be playing the track due to impartiality rules.

The “Liar Liar Ge2017” song by Captain Ska criticises Ms May over the NHS, education and poverty, and the Conservatives’ recent U-turns in policy, including the decision to call a snap election.

It features the Prime Ministers’ speeches and interviews alongside clips of other senior Tories with the chorus, “She’s a liar liar, you can’t trust her no, no, no”.

The Big Top 40 show on Heart and Capital FM has reportedly banned the song from being played, while Radio 1 said it will not give the song airtime due to impartiality rules.

“We do not ban songs or artists, however our editorial guidelines require us to remain impartial and the UK is currently in an election period so we will not be playing the song,” the station said in a statement.

Captain Ska released the song less than a week ago and are donating its proceeds to food banks around the country and campaign organisation The People’s Assembly Against Austerity, who supported the track.

“We’re overwhelmed with the support and our message is that people do have the power to change society if we act together.”
