Pelosi: Impeaching Trump ‘not someplace that I think we should go’

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said Sunday that even if Democrats were to retake control of the House in the 2018 elections, pushing for impeachment proceedings of President Donald Trump would not be one of their legislative priorities.
“It’s not someplace that I think we should go,” Pelosi, appearing on CNN’s “State of the Union,” said of whether Democrats would seek to oust the president if they regained the majority.
The California Democrat left the door open to the possibility, however, saying that if ongoing investigations into Russian election meddling were to turn up any sort of concrete criminal evidence, lawmakers might reconsider the matter. “If that’s there, perhaps it will come out in these investigations” she said.
Pelosi was reportedly privately critical of an ad put out by billionaire Democratic donor Tom Steyer calling for the impeachment of Trump, with the House leader believing the key to the Democrats retaking the House in 2018 to be avoiding the distractions surrounding the White House.
“I believe that whatever we do, we have a responsibility to first and foremost to unify the nation,” Pelosi said Sunday.
So you’re just going to tolerate someone who has objectively obstructed justice, bragged about it on national TV, sold the White House to Russian oligarchs and the Федеральная служба безопасности Российской Федерации (FSB), and threatened a global nuclear war which we will lose? Indeed you personally endorse such a war.
And we’re supposed to support your Party in elections because they are the lesser of 2 evils?
