Not really the most important thing in the world but we’ve known for a long time that he cheats at Golf and there’s no reason to do it unless you’re playing for money.
Most serious players once the realize you’re really, really bad at it will be happy to give you some Mulligans and anything on the Green is a Gimme (c’mon, next hole) as well as Winter Rules (supposed to give you relief because of course damage, in fact improve your lie anywhere within 20 Yards or so).
They keep their own score and don’t really give a damn what you claim yours is at the 19th Hole.
