Identity of notorious serial killer Jack the Ripper finally unveiled
Vital DNA evidence has finally uncovered the identity of notorious serial killer Jack the Ripper.
The man behind the grisly killing spree in London’s East End has been unveiled as Aaron Kosminkski, a 23-year-old Polish immigrant who ended up dying in an asylum.
A blood soaked shawl, purchased by author Russell Edwards, led to the breakthrough when a scientist matched DNA evidence left on it to descendants of Kosminski.
DNA tests ‘prove’ that Jack the Ripper was a Polish immigrant named Aaron Kosminski
DNA on a shawl found near one of the victims, Catherine Eddowes, reportedly contains a match to both her and one of the chief suspects, Aaron Kosminsky.
The Polish hairdresser, who moved to England with his family in 1881, was committed to a mental asylum at the peak of Ripper hysteria.
So one of those never solved puzzle has been answered. As someone who has watched all the documentaries on this, this is a pretty big solve, thanks to science.
How you doin’?

Every muscle in my body is screaming at me today. I went sailing yesterday afternoon, after spending the morning doing garden work. Other than meeting with a contractor today about replacing windows and a side entry door, I’m going to do as little physical activity as possible today. Maybe, I’ll sit in the yard and admire the work I did yesterday and make a list of what else needs to be done before winter for my S-i-L.
