2016 Primaries and Caucuses: Go West – March 22

Three western states are holding their primaries or caucuses today, two Republican and three Democratic.

In Arizona:

Primaries: Republican and Democratic presidential primaries

Delegates: 58 Republican delegates, 85 Democratic delegates

According to available polling at Real Clear Poltics, Hilary Clinton has a sizable lead over Bernie Sanders. The polling for Republicans show Donald “Drumpf” Trump with a 13 point lead over. Ted “Tail Gunner” Cruz.

In Idaho:

Primaries: Democratic presidential caucus

Delegates: 27 Democratic delegates

According to The Guardian, there has been only one poll for Idaho that shows Bernie with a 2% lead which makes this race a statistical dead heat. Bernie has proven to be a winner in caucus states.

In Utah:

Primaries: Republican and Democratic presidential caucuses

Delegates: 40 Republican delegates, 37 Democratic delegates

Polling gives Ted “Tail Gunner” Cruz a substantial edge at 42% points; “Drumpf” at 21%; John Kasich a distant third at 13%. This poll was taken prior to Marco Rubio dropping out of the race. It had him with 17& of the vote. Who will get that 17% is the question.

Bernie leads Hillary by 8%.

Keep in mind that polling in these states have been scant, so this could turn out quite differently than predicted.

Results will be posted in comments.
