This week’s guests are-

The Daily Show

The Colbert Report

It seems I was a little unfair to Stephen who had his whole front page set up as “Summer with Stephen” including Summer Blockbusters Movie Trailer Reviews (because really, who needs to sit through a whole movie?) for Man of Steel & Iron Man 3; Prince of Persia, Sex and the City 2 & Iron Man 2; G.I. Joe: The Rise of the Cobra, Orphan, 2012 & Julie & Julia; X-Men Origins: Wolverine, The Proposal, Up & Star Trek; An Inconvenient Truth, Hoot, Over the Hedge, Mission: Impossible III, & Akeelah and the Bee; none which are newer than a year old, or have an actual review, or are even visible.

Stephen’s Summer Reading List

The Fault in Our Stars

My guest tonight is an author of a bestselling book about teens with cancer falling in love. It’s the perfect summer beach read.

The Great Gatsby

Since I have known for the past two weeks that I would be discussing this book on television, I have been preparing. First, by reading it. Which I really enjoyed and definitely did do.

Farewell to Arms

To celebrate this American icon, I’m wearing a rugged safari outfit and occasionally drinking lustily from a goat bladder wineskin.

Where the Wild Things Are

The wild rumpus. Is rumpus sex?

Catcher in the Rye

[Salinger] ended up flunking out of the McBurney School in his sophomore year. Apparently, he had not read the sophomore book assignment. Mainly because he hadn’t written it yet.

If these have videos attached they are not visible to me, but there are some random Summer with Stephen videos at the top of the page.

Human Week

I’m on vacation for two weeks. But if you need me, I can still be reached by the Colbert Signal. Ask your police commissioner for details.

Dahlia Lithwick is a Canadian U.S. Supreme Court specialist and was the debate partner of Austan Goolsbee while at Yale.  Presumably she’ll talk about the recent Supreme Court decisions.

Jad Abumrad is a Lebanese-American musician and philosopher, Robert Krulwich is his co-host on Radiolab and primarily writes about science though he also has a background in business and economics.

Did I mention tomorrow is a rest day?  Looking forward to it.

because it hasn’t been harmed by the ACA. If, as Boner claims, Obama has failed to live up to his oath of office the remedy is impeachment.

And they were worried in 1960 about electing a Catholic president. Maybe we should be more worried about putting Catholic men on the Supreme Court. The women seem to be doing fine
